In this article, we are decoding how to choose a perfect smartphone that matches your needs.
As there are many mobile launches these days, it is hard to choose the best smartphone that meets your demand in the budget you're in, and often spend more than you need. Here is a complete guide for YOU to choose the right mobile.
While choosing a smartphone you should mainly consider these things.
- Display
- Processor
- RAM and Storage
- Cameras
- Battery
- Build Quality
- Connectivity
1. Display
When considering a smartphone, one of the key factors that capture our attention is its display and touch response. Currently, there are primarily two types of display technologies available: Amoled or Oled, and LCD. Additionally, a less common technology known as TFT display is utilized by Samsung in their budget series and by some other companies. Amoled, also referred to as Oled or pOled (plastic base), is widely regarded as the top display technology currently on offer.
Amoled displays boast vibrant colors, deep blacks, excellent viewing angles, and high brightness, making them ideal for consuming content.
Moreover, Amoled displays often feature an Always On Display (AOD) functionality, providing users with at-a-glance information such as the time and notifications. While this technology comes at a higher cost, smartphones equipped with AMOLED displays can be found for as low as ₹10,000 (~$120) in India.
Refresh Rate: A high refresh rate is crucial for delivering a seamless display experience. Currently, a 120Hz display panel offers the best smoothness compared to a 60Hz panel, and this improvement is noticeable to users of all kinds. However, it is important to note that this enhanced performance comes at the expense of reduced battery life.
Authors Opinion: In my opinion, opting for an AMOLED panel over LCD or other alternatives is preferable, if feasible. Additionally, I highly recommend considering panels with higher refresh rates, such as 90Hz or 120Hz, and also taking into account the inclusion of dual speakers to enhance the content viewing experience.
By prioritizing these factors, you can enjoy a more captivating, professional, and visually appealing display experience.
